Günther Hofbauer holds an M.D. degree. He is a Senior Staff Physician at the University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland. Dr. Hofbauer is a dermatologist and allergist/clinical immunologist, trained at the University Hospital Zürich, Switzerland. He went to medical school in Switzerland (Basel, Lausanne) and Germany (Heidelberg). Dr. Hofbauer has completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Dermatology Branch, National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health. He is the Head of the SGDV Working Group for dermatology and organ transplantation and a Board Member and Secretary of SCOPE, a European association of dermatologists caring for organ transplant recipients. He holds a strong research interest in squamous cell carcinoma of the skin and potential prevention and treatment.
